Training On Research Design, Mobile Data Collection, Mapping And Data Analysis Using Nvivo And Python

  • Overview

INTRODUCTION

Decision-making can be greatly enhanced thanks to recent advancements in data science. Baseline surveys, Socio-Economic Surveys, Demographic and Health Surveys, Nutrition Surveys, Food Security Surveys, Program Evaluation Surveys, Employee, Customer, and Vendor Satisfaction Surveys, and Opinion Polls are just a few of the data collection initiatives that have increased in the development world and are all meant to provide information for decision making.

It is crucial that these initiatives do more than just produce fresh data insights; they also need to systematically improve individual human judgment in actual development contexts. How can businesses more effectively manage the process of turning data science's potential into concrete development results? This 10-day hands-on training is designed to help you put all these crucial factors into perspective. After completing the course, it is hoped that the participants will have the knowledge and abilities needed to produce reliable data and reports that are affordable and conducive to decision-making.It will be conducted using ODK, GIS, NVIVO and PYTHON

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of course participants should be able to:

  • Use mobile data collection tools like Open Data Kit (ODK) and GIS software to plot and show data on simple maps.
  • Design and implement surveys that are widely acceptable.
  • Convert data into multiple formats using the necessary software.
  • NVIVO-based qualitative data analysis
  • Python for Machine Learning and Data Science
  • Implement machine learning algorithms, use Spark for big data analysis,
